If Only I Could Close My Eyes (mini series - 5/5): This series was inspired by a spoken word piece I wrote about my life. It’s titled, If Only I Could Close My Eyes. I worked on capturing these emotions, mental health issues, isolation, hopefulness, etc. in each painting. These paintings not only represent my growth as a person, as an artist, as an advocate, they connect me to a world I longed for, where I can reflect and unbiasedly acknowledge how far I’ve come and not succumb to the pain these memories bring.
