CAT 4 (mini series - 1/5):Southwest Florida was impacted by Cat 4 Hurricane Ian and the devastation is beyond words. I reside in the Cape Coral area and the eye came right over us. My family and I couldn't evacuate because had just moved to area the week prior. After spending over 12 hours in the bathroom floor, listening to the strong wings and my house shaking uncontrollably, we finally were able to step outside. What my eyes witness and the emotional damage this cause to so many people can't simply be put in words. I spent almost 3 weeks without power, water, and barely any phone reception. To this day (Nov.1) I still don't have drinkable water, internet and still dealing with the aftermath of Ian. This artwork is inspired by the strength of our community who came together in time of need. We will endure and once again, rebuild.

Details: Mixed media, 6x6 inches, edges painted black, framed with an 1/8" gap and ready to hang.
